COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

As an education provider we need to take responsibility for our students and staff members. The health and safety of students and staff members is of highest priority and therefore, we are announcing the temporarily closure of our institutes in Germany from Tuesday, 17th March 2020 until further notice depending on the local authorities.

Current Information (15th March 2020)

Dear students and partners,

unfortunately COVID-19 has become an essential part of our daily life – this virus has no borders and limits.

The German federal state governments are handing out instructions on a daily, sometimes hourly basis and we are all requested to follow those instructions, the risk of infection is high and needs to be eliminated. As an education provider we need to take responsibility for our students and staff members.

Therefore, we are announcing the temporarily closure of our institutes in Germany from Tuesday, 17th March 2020 until further notice and depending on the instructions by local authorities. This closure may be extended based on the governments requests and advises.

On Monday, 16th March 2020, the new procedure will be presented to the students in our institutes. Hence, students can still come to our schools on Monday, 16th March 2020. Nonetheless, students may additionally obtain all necessary information via e-mail from our school staff.

ONLINE CLASSES FROM TUESDAY, MARCH 17TH 2020

Since last week students have been informed that in case of a governmental request, we will need to close down the schools and will continue teaching online. All students will be able to join these online classes from home with their mobile devices or desktop computers and our teachers will make sure to continue with the learning progress according to in class teaching. The last day in school where we will be providing classes and local information is Monday, March 16th 2020.

We kindly ask all students joining us on Monday, March 16th 2020 to follow regular flu prevention etiquette: avoid handshakes, for coughing and sneezing use the inside of your elbow, wash your hands for at least 20 seconds and use a disinfectant regularly.

WHEN ARE ON SITE CLASSES STARTING AGAIN?

Our schools are based in different federal states of Germany. The health ministries of each state are issuing different instructions. Based on those instructions we will keep you informed on our website on a regular basis and will switch back to in-class teaching on site as soon as the government allows it again.

Depending on the individual situation we are offering the following options:

  • Students will receive a credit notevoucher which they can use until 31st December 2021 for their remaining courses (depending on how many weeks have already been taken).
  • Those students will not be admitted to online classes.
  • Accommodation will be subject to a 2 weeks cancellation fee, the remaining weeks will be credited and can be used until 31st December 2021

You will receive a course credit for the weeks of closure (e.g. if we open after 2 weeks, then a 2 weeks voucher, which can be used at the end of your course). Please note the online courses will continue with the progress plan and your progress may be delayed (e.g. to attend an important exam).
  • Students under scholarship programs must attend online classes as long as those are offered and can remain in their accommodations.
