This summer you will save the High Season Supplement! Book from 1st June till 31st August 2020 and we will take off the 2020 supplements on course and accommodation from your invoice!
Students who are currently attending online courses in a school with a later re-opening date and wish to re-start in-classroom teaching sooner can change their school location to one of our schools re-opening earlier. We will re-book you free of charge (exception students who are staying at the Munich Student Residence). You only need to pay your travel expenses from one city to the other.
The protection of our students and staff is of highest priority and requires extensive measures in all schools. We will follow strictly the advises of our government and the federal states and are apologizing for the inconvenience this may cause to your overall experience during these challenging times.
A few things you can expect during your stay:
A special consent form for in-person teaching will be available from 7th June 2020. All students who agree to return to in-classroom teaching need to sign that form, not later than the day of arrival in school. It will also include extensive information on our health and care policies.
Our school administration will be working on reduced hours. For students who need to contact our administrative staff we recommend arranging an appointment via E-Mail or call our office to arrange a meeting in case your schedule does not meet the presence hours of our administrative staff.
Our main office will be available Monday through Friday from 9 am till 5:30 pm via phone and E-Mail.
Our Online German Courses will continue until further notice.
Students residing abroad or preferring not to return to in-classroom teaching have the option to continue with our Online German Courses which will be offered until further notice. As in-classroom teaching is starting again online courses from different school locations may be merged which may require a change of teachers.
We have implemented blended learning in some of our schools. We may offer face-to-face teaching for local students and include students from abroad via modern video technology to join those classes – so called hybrid courses. This way you will also be able to study German from your home and meet other international students.
For new bookings from now and till 31st August 2020 we will not apply change fees or cancellation fees*, if you inform us 1 week before your arrival. This applies if:
For students who are on site and a new lockdown is ordered by government:
* does not apply to our Online German Courses, University Placement Program and High School Program
Summer Camps for Kids and Teens have been cancelled on May 6th 2020 (see also archive below for more details) due to the spread of COVID-19 and restricted travel options in many countries including Germany and Austria. Our Summer Programs will be postponed and we look forward to welcoming international young learners in 2021.
As an education provider we need to take responsibility for our students and staff members. The health and safety of students and staff members is of highest priority and therefore, we are announcing the temporarily closure of our institutes in Germany from Tuesday, 17th March 2020 until further notice depending on the local authorities.
CURRENT INFORMATION (6th May 2020)
Dear students and partners,
unfortunately COVID-19 has become an essential part of our daily life – this virus has no borders and limits.
The German federal state governments are handing out instructions on a daily, sometimes hourly basis and we are all requested to follow those instructions, the risk of infection is high and needs to be eliminated. As an education provider we need to take responsibility for our students and staff members.
Therefore, we are announcing the temporarily closure of our institutes in Germany from Tuesday, 17th March 2020 until further notice and depending on the instructions by local authorities. This closure may be extended based on the governments requests and advises.
The situation regarding COVID-19 is still ongoing and the German Federal Government has extended the lockdown of public life and educational institutions till at least 31st May 2020. Individual decisions may also be made by the different federal states on which we will keep you updated here. More information about the government's declaration can be found here: Bundesregierung
In the event that schools re-open on 1st June 2020 (or later dates, depending on the federal states decission) new or returning students arriving from abroad may be required to self-isolate for minimum 2 weeks (14 days) and need to inform the local health authority about their arrival. Those students are not allowed to book homestay, but only student residence options for a discounted rate during this period of self-isolation. Please talk to our team in order to find the best solution for your arrival. Only after that period students will be allowed to change to other accommodation types and to on-site class. This is to ensure well-being of our students, staff and accommodation providers, but also a current governmental requirement until we know the quarantine requirement ends.
Our updated general terms and conditions are extended till 31st May 2020. We hope that the situation will be brought under control soon. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Due to governmental orders from March 16th 2020, our schools needed to close down and we have continued teaching online. All students are able to join these online classes from home with their mobile devices or desktop computers and our teachers will make sure to continue with the learning progress according to in class teaching.
Our schools are based in different federal states of Germany. The health ministries of each state are issuing different instructions. Based on those instructions we will keep you informed on our website on a regular basis and will switch back to in-class teaching on site as soon as the government allows it again.
