Intensive German course in winter

The core of our winter camp is the intensive German course with 24 lessons per week. Through communicative and varied teaching in small groups, participants quickly achieve noticeable progress. Before arrival, all students take a personal online placement test, so that they can be placed in the appropriate level. The focus is on the oral use of German, supported by targeted written exercises.

Augsburg: perfect setting for your winter camp

Augsburg is one of the oldest cities in Germany and captivates in winter with a special charm. The splendid Renaissance town hall is considered one of the most beautiful of its kind and gives our participants a piece of true German culture. With more than 2000 years of history, Augsburg is the ideal place to combine language, tradition, and modern city life – the perfect environment for our German Winter Camp.

Host families and support

All participants of the German Winter Camp live with selected host families in and around Augsburg. The families speak German in daily life, offer full board and either shared or double rooms. The commute to school usually takes about 25 to 45 minutes by public transportation. The host families are warm, open, and experienced in welcoming international youth – so you live German outside of class too.

Your winter camp schedule

The German course takes place every week, Monday to Friday in the morning and always starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at about 12:30 p.m. There is a short break in between. The 2 afternoon seminars are always on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. We do our best to follow the schedule accordingly; however, there may occasionally be short‑term changes.
