Furnishings

All rooms are equipped with:

• Single bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, curtains, lamps
• Bathroom with shower and en suite WC
• Kitchenette with microwave, ceramic hob, refrigerator
• A crockery box can be borrowed (€50 deposit)

Student residence facilities:

• Common rooms with video wall
• Table tennis, foosball, billiards
• Beach volleyball court
• Fitness room

Good to know:

• Upon arrival, you will receive fresh towels and bed linen.
• Towel and bed linen change and cleaning is included every 14 days.
• Washing machines and dryers (approx. €1 per hour) are available in the building (card payment only).
• Cleaning service is included 2x per week
• You are responsible for basic cleaning, waste separation and disposal yourself!
• In case of key loss, you will have to pay €50 for a new key
• The accommodation does not include an iron or ironing board, a kettle, or any food or beverages (e.g. coffee, tea).

Catering

All rooms have their own kitchenette, so you can flexibly cater for yourself at any time. In addition, the on-site cafeteria invites you to enjoy a relaxed meal together – meals are included in the price for did students during regular opening hours, making your stay particularly comfortable. 

From Monday to Friday, you can enjoy breakfast from 6:15 to 8:15 AM.Dinner is served Monday to Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 PM and on Friday from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Please note that the cafeteria is closed on weekends, public holidays, and other dates communicated by the cafeteria; these closure periods are already factored into the price calculation.

Rental agreement, house rules and handbook

After you book you will receive a rental agreement that must be signed and returned to us. You will receive a copy of the house rules so you can become familiar with the expectations. In our handbook you will find information regarding arrival and useful details about your accommodations.

Cancellation policy

Please note that no-cost reservation changes and cancellations may be made up to six weeks (42 days) prior to date of arrival. Changes or cancellations made after that date will result in a 600 € fee. After arrival, cancellations are possible subject to the submission of a four-week (28 day) notice. The notice period shall begin on the first Saturday after request has been made. No refunds will be granted during the notice period.  The original stay may only be extended based on availability.

did-deutsch institut reserves the right in cases of unacceptable uncleanliness or contamination to have living units cleaned at the expense of the occupants. Cleaning costs incurred will depend upon the extent and frequency of efforts required to bring the unit back to its original state of cleanliness at the time the occupants took occupancy.

Security deposit and liability insurance

Before arrival you will pay a damage deposit of 300 €. This will be refunded as long as your room is in order and nothing has been damaged or lost. The refund will be made by wire transfer. You are responsible for any wire transfer charges incurred.

Additionally, all residents of the student residence must provide proof of renter's liability insurance coverage. If you do not own this type of insurance already, it can be purchased online here: Care Concept Care Protector. Individuals without insurance coverage are not allowed to live in the student residence.
